I enjoyed the thrill of not being able to eat my own food anywhere and having to walk miles to find a place to eat. The fixed shower head and stinky shower room were a real treat too!
The staff had the audacity to not open the door for me even though I arrived at the appointed time. How dare they take my money and not let me in!

Tasty buffet breakfast served every day, although the variety could be improved. The rooms at Jugendherberge Aachen are fantastic! They have a cozy and welcoming feel that made us feel right at home. As a family with two small kids, we loved how spacious and comfortable the rooms were. They had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the beds were super comfy!
Personally, I found the family recreation room a bit lacking in terms of activities. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Shared lounge: The shared lounge at the hostel was a great place to unwind and meet fellow travelers. It felt like a cozy living room, complete with comfy couches and a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to strike up conversations and make new friends.
Checkout time: The only minor issue I had during my stay was the early checkout time. Having to leave before 10 am felt a bit rushed, especially when you're on vacation and want to enjoy a leisurely morning.
